Time and daily routines

Give a day and time, and describe what you and other people do.

A scheduled time · Когда?

Use в with an hour or weekday: в восемь, в пятницу. Утром, днём and вечером describe parts of the day without в.

В пятницу урок в десять.: On Friday, the lesson is at ten.
Утром я завтракаю.: I have breakfast in the morning.

Who does it? · Кто?

Match the present-tense verb to the subject: я читаю, мы читаем. Some stems change: писать → я пишу. Learn those forms with an example.

Я читаю вечером.: I read in the evening.
Мы пишем письма вечером.: We write letters in the evening.

Now, before and later

Use time words to locate an action. A past-tense verb agrees with gender or number: работал, работала, работали. Буду + infinitive can describe a future activity.

Вчера Нина работала. Сегодня она отдыхает.: Nina worked yesterday. Today she is resting.
Завтра я буду читать дома.: Tomorrow I will read at home.
